DESCRIPTION: Actually part of an atmospheric independent bookstore in Palermo, this café is a calm refuge tucked away at the back. Popular with local and foreign literary types, the pretty, light high-ceilinged annexe is a charming place to while away an afternoon, reading, thinking or discussing classic novels. Or you can just enjoy the wholesome lunch menu - simple omelettes and sandwiches - and choice of cakes, all to a great background of alternative music from the in-house record shop.
Open 10am to 10pm Monday to Friday, 11am to 11pm Saturday, 2pm to 9pm Sunday.

You don't even have to buy anything to hang out in this cool bookshop café, but it would be a shame not to sample their great chocolate cake.
